   2 B is for biff, which reads all your mail.
   3 C is for cc, as hackers recall, while
   4 D is for dd, the command that does all.
   5 E is for emacs, which rebinds your keys, and
   6 F is for fsck, which rebuilds your trees.
   7 G is for grep, a clever detective, while
   8 H is for halt, which may seem defective.
   9 I is for indent, which rarely amuses, and
  10 J is for join, which nobody uses.
  11 K is for kill, which makes you the boss, while
  12 L is for lex, which is missing from DOS.
  13 M is for more, from which less was begot, and
  14 N is for nice, which it really is not.
  15 O is for od, which prints out things nice, while
  16 P is for passwd, which reads in strings twice.
  17 Q is for quota, a Berkeley-type fable, and
  18 R is for ranlib, for sorting ar table.
  19 S is for spell, which attempts to belittle, while
  20 T is for true, which does very little.
  21 U is for uniq, which is used after sort, and
  22 V is for vi, which is hard to abort.
  23 W is for whoami, which tells you your name, while
  24 X is, well, X, of dubious fame.
  25 Y is for yes, which makes an impression, and
  26 Z is for zcat, which handles compression.
