   1 To do a release:

   3 - Update NEWS, configure.ac, and fetchmail.man, with release number & date.

   5 - Run "perl dist-tools/makerelease" - this entails "make distcheck" and
   6   RPM building.

   8 - Commit all files to the VCS.

  10 - Tag the new release and record the revision in RELEASE-VERSIONS

  12 - Upload sig and tarball to ~/public_html/fetchmail/ and edit index.html
  13   for the new files, NEWS, and the new release and last update.

  15 - Upload sig and tarball to ftp.berlios.de:/incoming/ and release

  17 - Upload lsm and tarball to Ibiblio
  18
  19 - Update the fetchmail website for version and last update, commit, and upload.
  20
  21 - Announce on freshmeat.
