sctp: check src addr when processing SACK to update transport state
Suppose we have an SCTP connection with two paths. After connection is
established, path1 is not available, thus this path is marked as inactive. Then
traffic goes through path2, but for some reasons packets are delayed (after
rto.max). Because packets are delayed, the retransmit mechanism will switch
again to path1. At this time, we receive a delayed SACK from path2. When we
update the state of the path in sctp_check_transmitted(), we do not take into
account the source address of the SACK, hence we update the wrong path.

ipv4: add a fib_type to fib_info
commit d2d68ba9fe8 (ipv4: Cache input routes in fib_info nexthops.)
introduced a regression for forwarding.
This was hard to reproduce but the symptom was that packets were
delivered to local host instead of being forwarded.
David suggested to add fib_type to fib_info so that we dont
inadvertently share same fib_info for different purposes.
With help from Julian Anastasov who provided very helpful
hints, reproduced here :

a reused fib_info structure where we put cached routes.

routes. Incoming broadcast to 192.168.0.255 can be cached
and can cause problems for traffic forwarded to 192.168.0.0/24.
So, this patch should solve the problem because it
separates the broadcast from unicast traffic.
And the ip_route_input_slow caching will work for
local and broadcast input routes (above routes 1 and 3) just
because they differ in scope and use different fib_info.

However, it also caused 10G functions on 5771x boards to
allocate small rings, which limits their possible (default)
rx throughput. This patch causes all 10G functions to use
rings of intended length by default.

ixgbe: fix poll loop for FDIRCTRL.INIT_DONE bit
The loop in ixgbe_reinit_fdir_tables_82599() only polls for up to 100us
resulting in failures to update the FDIR filter table at 1Gbps and 10Gbps
when under load.
The poll times for FDIRCTRL.INIT_DONE are 55us, 550us and 5.5ms for 10Gbps,
1Gbps and 100Mbps respectively.
This patch sets the wait time to be the same as in ixgbe_fdir_enable_82599()

This patch fixes a development issue that occurred due to invalid modes reported
in the ethtool get_ts_info function. The issue is resolved by removing
unsupported modes from the Rx supported list.

ixgbe: (PTP) Fix PPS interrupt code
Driver was enabling PPS interrupt even when user wasn't enabling it via the
ptp core. This patch fixes the PPS so that it is only enabled explicitly, and

ixgbe: Fix PTP X540 SDP alignment code for PPS signal
This patch fixes a bug in the method used for calculating the trigger
alignment for SDP0 when enabling a PPS output on the X540. The alignment math
wasn't properly taking into account the overflow cyclecounter, and was
misaligning the pin triggers so that two X540 devices synced properly had
mis-aligned SDP pins. This patch fixes the math to calculate the correct
seconds alignment for the PPS signal.

skb_reset_mac_len() relies on the value of the skb->network_header pointer,
therefore we must wait for such pointer to be recalculated before computing
the new mac_len value.

bnx2x: use strlcpy() to copy a string
DRV_MODULE_VERSION is smaller than the ->version buffer so the memcpy()
copies 1 byte past the end of the string. It's not super harmful, but
it makes the static checkers complain.

ipv6: don't add link local route when there is no link local address
When an address is added on loopback (ip -6 a a 2002::1/128 dev lo), a route
to fe80::/64 is added in the main table:
unreachable fe80::/64 dev lo proto kernel metric 256 error -101
This route does not match any prefix (no fe80:: address on lo). In fact,
addrconf_dev_config() will not add link local address because this function
filters interfaces by type. If the link local address is added manually, the
route to the link local prefix will be automatically added by
addrconf_add_linklocal().
Note also, that this route is not deleted when the address is removed.
After looking at the code, it seems that addrconf_add_lroute() is redundant with
addrconf_add_linklocal(), because this function will add the link local route
when the link local address is configured.

net: ethernet: davinci_cpdma: decrease the desc count when cleaning up the remaining packets
chan->count is used by rx channel. If the desc count is not updated by
the clean up loop in cpdma_chan_stop, the value written to the rxfree
register in cpdma_chan_start will be incorrect.

workqueue: avoid using deprecated functions
The network merge brought in a few users of functions that got
deprecated by the workqueue cleanups: the 'system_nrt_wq' is now the
same as the regular system_wq, since all workqueues are now non-
reentrant.
Similarly, remove one use of flush_work_sync() - the regular
flush_work() has become synchronous, and the "_sync()" version is thus
deprecated as being superfluous.
2) Make SCTP more network namespace aware, from Eric Biederman.
3) TEAM driver now works with non-ethernet devices, from Jiri Pirko.
4) Make openvswitch network namespace aware, from Pravin B Shelar.

"This is a mostly modest set of changes to enable basic user namespace
support. This allows the code to code to compile with user namespaces
enabled and removes the assumption there is only the initial user
namespace. Everything is converted except for the most complex of the
filesystems: autofs4, 9p, afs, ceph, cifs, coda, fuse, gfs2, ncpfs,
nfs, ocfs2 and xfs as those patches need a bit more review.
The strategy is to push kuid_t and kgid_t values are far down into
subsystems and filesystems as reasonable. Leaving the make_kuid and
from_kuid operations to happen at the edge of userspace, as the values
come off the disk, and as the values come in from the network.
Letting compile type incompatible compile errors (present when user
namespaces are enabled) guide me to find the issues.
The most tricky areas have been the places where we had an implicit
union of uid and gid values and were storing them in an unsigned int.
Those places were converted into explicit unions. I made certain to
handle those places with simple trivial patches.
Out of that work I discovered we have generic interfaces for storing
quota by projid. I had never heard of the project identifiers before.
Adding full user namespace support for project identifiers accounts
for most of the code size growth in my git tree.
Ultimately there will be work to relax privlige checks from
"capable(FOO)" to "ns_capable(user_ns, FOO)" where it is safe allowing
root in a user names to do those things that today we only forbid to
non-root users because it will confuse suid root applications.
While I was pushing kuid_t and kgid_t changes deep into the audit code
I made a few other cleanups. I capitalized on the fact we process
netlink messages in the context of the message sender. I removed
usage of NETLINK_CRED, and started directly using current->tty.
Some of these patches have also made it into maintainer trees, with no
problems from identical code from different trees showing up in
linux-next.
After reading through all of this code I feel like I might be able to
win a game of kernel trivial pursuit."

acceptable especially given that the current behaviors don't make much
sense when nested.
This patch makes cgroup emit warning messages if cgroups for
subsystems with broken hierarchy behavior are nested to prepare for
fixing them in the future. This was put in a separate branch because
more related changes were expected (didn't make it this round) and the
memory cgroup wanted to pull in this and make changes on top."

round including considerable API and behavior cleanups.
* delayed_work combines a timer and a work item. The handling of the
timer part has always been a bit clunky leading to confusing
cancelation API with weird corner-case behaviors. delayed_work is
updated to use new IRQ safe timer and cancelation now works as
expected.
* Another deficiency of delayed_work was lack of the counterpart of
mod_timer() which led to cancel+queue combinations or open-coded
timer+work usages. mod_delayed_work[_on]() are added.
These two delayed_work changes make delayed_work provide interface
and behave like timer which is executed with process context.
* A work item could be executed concurrently on multiple CPUs, which
is rather unintuitive and made flush_work() behavior confusing and
half-broken under certain circumstances. This problem doesn't
exist for non-reentrant workqueues. While non-reentrancy check
isn't free, the overhead is incurred only when a work item bounces
across different CPUs and even in simulated pathological scenario
the overhead isn't too high.
All workqueues are made non-reentrant. This removes the
distinction between flush_[delayed_]work() and
flush_[delayed_]_work_sync(). The former is now as strong as the
latter and the specified work item is guaranteed to have finished
execution of any previous queueing on return.
* In addition to the various bug fixes, Lai redid and simplified CPU
hotplug handling significantly.
* Joonsoo introduced system_highpri_wq and used it during CPU
hotplug.
There are two merge commits - one to pull in IRQ safe timer from
tip/timers/core and the other to pull in CPU hotplug fixes from
wq/for-3.6-fixes as Lai's hotplug restructuring depended on them."
Fixed a number of trivial conflicts, but the more interesting conflicts
were silent ones where the deprecated interfaces had been used by new
code in the merge window, and thus didn't cause any real data conflicts.

* Today each platform has its own include directory under
mach-<mach>/include/mach/*, and traditionally that is where a lot
of driver/platform shared definitions have gone, such as platform
data structures. They now need to move out to a common location
instead, and this branch moves a large number of those out to
include/linux/platform_data.
* Each platform used to list the device trees to compile for its
boards in mach-<mach>/Makefile.boot.
Both of the above changes will mean that there are some merge
conflicts to come (and some to resolve here). It's a one-time move
and once it settles in, we should be good for quite a while. Sorry
for the overhead."

"Most notable here is probably the addition of basic support for the
BCM2835, an SoC used in some of the Roku 2 players as well as the
much-hyped Raspberry Pi, cleaned up and contributed by Stephen Warren.
It's still early days on mainline support, with just the basics
working. But it has to start somewhere!
Beyond that there's some conversions of clock infrastructure on tegra
to common clock, misc updates for several other platforms, and OMAP
now has its own bus (under drivers/bus) to manage its devices through.
This branch adds two new directories outside of arch/arm:
drivers/irqchip for new irq controllers, and drivers/bus for the above
OMAP bus. It's expected that some of the other platforms will migrate
parts of their platforms to those directories over time as well."
Fix up trivial conflicts with the clk infrastructure changes.

sfc: Fix the reported priorities of different filter types
Each RX filter table contains filters with two different levels of
specificity: TCP/IPv4 and UDP/IPv4 filters match the local address and
port and optionally the remote address and port; Ethernet filters
match the local address and optionally the VID. The more specific
filters always override less specific filters within the same table,
and should be numbered accordingly.

sfc: Fix MCDI structure field lookup
The least significant bit number (LBN) of a field within an MCDI
structure is counted from the start of the structure, not the
containing dword. In MCDI_ARRAY_FIELD() we need to mask it rather
than using the usual EFX_DWORD_FIELD() macro.

sfc: Fix null function pointer in efx_sriov_channel_type
Commit c31e5f9 ('sfc: Add channel specific receive_skb handler and
post_remove callback') added the function pointer field
efx_channel_type::post_remove and an unconditional call through it.
This field should have been initialised to efx_channel_dummy_op_void
in the existing instances of efx_channel_type, but this was only done
in efx_default_channel_type. Consequently, if a device has SR-IOV
enabled then removing the driver or device will result in an oops.

This is an implementation of Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network
as described in draft RFC:

The driver integrates a Virtual Tunnel Endpoint (VTEP) functionality
that learns MAC to IP address mapping.
This implementation has not been tested only against the Linux
userspace implementation using TAP, not against other vendor's
equipment.

cifs.ko. It also includes improvements to the cifs socket handling

for file and inode operations as well as moves some existing cifs code
to use ops server struct of protocol specific callbacks.
Most of this code is SMB2 specific. When enabled SMB2.1 does pass
various functional tests including most of the connectathon test
suite, For SMB2.1, Connectathon test 4 and some related tests fail due
to not updating mode bits remotely (cifsacl support where mode bits
are approximated with the cifs acl is not enable for smb2), and test8
(symlink) support is not completed for SMB2 yet (note that we will
likely have a "Unix Extensions" eventually, at least for Samba, so in
the long run posix locks won't have to be emulated when mounting Linux
to Linux, but for most NAS and for Windows mounts posix lock emulation
will still used for SMB2 in a similar fashion as we do for cifs).
SMB2.1 dialect is supported. Although additional fixes to enable smb2
(the original smb2.02) dialect and to add various optional features of
the smb3 dialect are expected to be added in the future as testing
progresses, currently mounting with the "vers=2.1" is supported (in
order to mount using SMB2.1 to servers like Samba 4, and Windows 7,
Windows 2008R2)."

Get rid of Documentation/feature-removal.txt
This file has turned out to be a pure write-only file that causes merge
conflicts and has no actual redeeming features.
There is never any reason to add stuff to this idiotic file. Either
something isn't getting used, and you should just remove it, or there is
no excuse for removing it in the first place. Just stop the idiocy.
It has also been the excuse for just plain bad behavior ("Hey, I don't
like xyz, so let's mark it for removal" followed by "Hey, look, it been
in feature-removal.txt for six months now, so we should remove it").
The recent bogus setitimer() ABI change request was just the most recent
example of pointless and incorrect mental masturbation involving this
file, and I'm tired of the silly and pointless conflicts in the file.
This removal was discussed during the recent kernel summit, and while
Steven Rostedt suggested we should just enter the file itself in the
feature-removal schedule (to see if anybody who edits the file actually
looks at it), that's cute but non-productive.

tg3: unconditionally select HWMON support when tg3 is enabled.
There is the seldom used corner case where HWMON=m at the same
time as TIGON3=y (typically randconfigs) which will cause a link
fail like:

flexcan: disable bus error interrupts for the i.MX28
Due to a bug in most Flexcan cores, the bus error interrupt needs
to be enabled. Otherwise we don't get any error warning or passive
interrupts. This is _not_ necessary for the i.MX28 and this patch
disables bus error interrupts if "berr-reporting" is not requested.
This avoids bus error flooding, which might harm, especially on
low-end systems.
To handle such quirks of the Flexcan cores, a hardware feature flag
has been introduced, also replacing the "hw_ver" variable. So far
nobody could tell what Flexcan core version is available on what
Freescale SOC, apart from the i.MX6Q and P1010, and which bugs or
features are present on the various "hw_rev".

IB/ipoib: Add more rtnl_link_ops callbacks
Add the rtnl_link_ops changelink and fill_info callbacks, through
which the admin can now set/get the driver mode, etc policies.
Maintain the proprietary sysfs entries only for legacy childs.
For child devices, set dev->iflink to point to the parent
device ifindex, such that user space tools can now correctly
show the uplink relation as done for vlan, macvlan, etc

Allow users to specify the phy interface of the CPSW slaves. The new
node parameter is called "phy_if_mode" and is optional. The original
behaviour of the driver is preserved when not given.

net: ti cpsw ethernet: set IFCTL_A bit in MACCONTROL
For RMII/RGMII mode operation in 100Mbps, the CPSW needs to set the
IFCTL_A bits in the MACCONTROL register. For all other PHY modes, this
bit is unused, so setting it unconditionally shouldn't cause any
trouble.

mlx4: dont orphan skbs in mlx4_en_xmit()
After commit e22979d96a55d (mlx4_en: Moving to Interrupts for TX
completions) we no longer need to orphan skbs in mlx4_en_xmit()
since skb wont stay a long time in TX ring before their release.
Orphaning skbs in ndo_start_xmit() should be avoided as much as
possible, since it breaks TCP Small Queue or other flow control
mechanisms (per socket limits)

net: add gro_cells infrastructure
This adds a new include file (include/net/gro_cells.h), to bring GRO
(Generic Receive Offload) capability to tunnels, in a modular way.
Because tunnels receive path is lockless, and GRO adds a serialization
using a napi_struct, I chose to add an array of up to
DEFAULT_MAX_NUM_RSS_QUEUES cells, so that multi queue devices wont be
slowed down because of GRO layer.
skb_get_rx_queue() is used as selector.
In the future, we might add optional fanout capabilities, using rxhash
for example.
With help from Ben Hutchings who reminded me
netif_get_num_default_rss_queues() function.

"There are two main patches in this set, both related to the userland
dlm_controld daemon.
The first fixes a deadlock between dlm_controld and the dlm_send
workqueue when both access configfs data simultaneously.
The second reworks some code to get around a long standing, but
intentional, unlock balance warning. The userland daemon no longer
takes a lock that is later released from the kernel.
The other commits are minor fixes and changes."

ipv6: del unreachable route when an addr is deleted on lo
When an address is added on loopback (ip -6 a a 2002::1/128 dev lo), two routes
are added:
- one in the local table:
local 2002::1 via :: dev lo proto none metric 0
- one the in main table (for the prefix):
unreachable 2002::1 dev lo proto kernel metric 256 error -101
When the address is deleted, the route inserted in the main table remains
because we use rt6_lookup(), which returns NULL when dst->error is set, which
is the case here! Thus, it is better to use ip6_route_lookup() to avoid this
kind of filter.

bnx2x,cnic: use FW 7.8.2
This patch moves the bnx2x and cnic drivers into using FW 7.8.2
which was recently submitted into the linux-firmware tree.
A short summary of minor bugs fixed by this FW:
1. In switch dependent mode, fix several issues regarding inner vlan
vs. DCB priorities.
2. iSCSI - not all packets were completed on a forward channel.
3. DCB - fixed for 4-port devices.
4. Fixed false parity reported in CAM memories when operating near -5%
on the 1.0V core supply.
5. ETS default settings are set to fairness between traffic classes
(rather than strict priority), and uses the same chip receive buffer
configuration for both PFC and pause.

be2net: fix vfs enumeration
Current VFs enumeration algorithm used in be_find_vfs does not take domain
number into the match. The match found in igb/ixgbe is more elegant and
safe.
This 2nd version uses pci_physfn instead of checking dev->physfn directly.

head) introduces this helper function, skb_end_offset(),

There are lots of gadget driver changes (including copying a bunch of
files into the drivers/staging/ccg/ directory so that the other gadget
drivers can be fixed up properly without breaking that driver), and we
remove the old obsolete ub.c driver from the tree.
There are also the usual XHCI set of updates, and other various driver
changes and updates. We also are trying hard to remove the old dbg()
macro, but the final bits of that removal will be coming in through
the networking tree before we can delete it for good.
All of these patches have been in the linux-next tree.

"As we skipped the merge window for 3.6-rc1 for the tty tree,

on the tty core changes, so it's going through this tree instead of
the staging tree.)
